Small evergreen felted leaves are the perfect compliment to pendent ivory tubular bells that flare at the tips to expose pretty purple anthers. It flowers from mid-October throughout most of the winter, depending upon conditions. Fine in dry shade or in sun, in either case it wants well-draining soils. Particularly well-suited to the Coast, Correa needs it just that much warmer and thinks the salt air is just fine. Inland it's great in a pot that can be brought in if you live in a colder area. And they make a hummer happy. Named for Portuguese botanist Jose Francisco Correa de Serra (1750–1823). 3' x 3'
