Quite showy, double purple-pink flowers bloom on bare, tan-colored branches in spring. Early in the season, the canes are a pretty bright green. NW native deciduous shrub 7' tall and true to its native riparian haunts, it appreciates regular summer water. What a day it would be to stumble across this while hiking in the mountains. My thanks go to someone with a keen eye to share it with the rest of us.
