A medium deciduous shrub with exciting and ghostly variegation. Cream-yellow leaves appear on reddish stems in spring. Foliage turns to white with increasing green speckles as foliage ages. Sparse clusters of pinkish lavender trumpet-shaped blooms appear below new branches in mid-summer before turning to violet berry clusters for fall decoration. Prune its arching branches to the ground for more blooms next year on new wood.
