Twelve-inch, pendent, pink-tinged cream tassels or chains festoon the shrub in January to February on this trouble-free broadleaf evergreen shrub, 8–10' T x 6–8' W. Named for Pat Ballard of Issaquah in whose garden it was found, it's a cross between G. elliptica and G. fremontii. Relatively rare.
