More info about our plant sizes.
Upright and delicate, this plant can grow to 3' tall. Pointed, oval leaves with parallel veins lead up to small, pendent, lily-shaped white flowers, often in 3's. They have six protruding golden anthers, hence the common name, Drops of Gold. Bloom time is early spring to midsummer, and, prolonging its appeal, is followed by a light orange to bright red fruit almost a centimeter wide. Native to the cool, moist, and shady woodland areas of the western states and Canada, it would like your best facsimile of those conditions. Leaves are held horizontally to soak up what filtered sunlight makes it through the canopy.
