With deep wine-colored blooms in early summer, this heirloom variety dates back to the 1600s. Its fully double, spurless flowers are the shaggy redhead of Columbines. Foliage emerges burgundy in early spring then ages to green. An excellent addition to your garden as both a pollinator plant and a point of interest for the extent of the Columbine flower forms. Prefers morning sun and afternoon shade.
