Fully appreciated when seen creeping over and around stones at 9000 feet in the Himalayas (and in the company of Edelweiss!), this tough creeping shrublet has small bright white flowers opening from pink buds and followed by bright red fruit. The leaves are tough, dark green, shiny, tiny, creased, almost rectangles. The thick woody stems are formidable and structurally interesting. Put it among large rocks and it will think it belongs and look like it, too. 2 feet tall x 6 feet wide. Evergreen.
