Perhaps the least particular of the South African Proteas, this is a relatively tough cultivar that can handle frost, alkalinity and clay soils and, in a warmer climate than ours, can form a hedge or even a wind screen. Prune as needed to fill out and/or shorten. You'll recognize this plant from some of the more interesting floral arrangements. It has a both lush and geometric look with plenty of color. This is a cross from the 60's by Mr. Ian Bell in New Zealand. 8 – 10' T x 6 – 8'W
