Vigorous and very sweetly scented, 'Belgica' will climb up just about anything or will consent to being pruned into a shrubby form. It is semi-deciduous with lush oval leaves. Earlier summer blooms than many Honesuckles — May to June — and again later in the summer, they begin flushed with crimson, pink, and white, becoming yellow as the bloom matures. Bright red berries stretch its ornamental season. Tolerates deer, drought, heat and humidity, pollution, rabbits, seashore, slope, wind...a little TOO healthy for the SE but only considered robust elsewhere. Roots in shade; leaves in sun; 6' – 8' tall and spreading.
Minimum temperature: -20° F
