From the Andes, this attractive little plant would love a spot in the rock garden. It has dark green needle-like leaves that compose themselves into diminutive rosettes at the tips of the stems and along their length. The flowers are inconsequential but give way to pretty, white, pearly fruits (edible but insipid) in August to September. Happy with moist soil, even if it is nutritionally poor. Seed from 2005 Chilean collection. 1' x 3'
