Intersectional because it is a cross between an herbaceous peony and a Tree Peony, a horticultural feat that took Roger Anderson in Wisconsin about 12 years to accomplish and we are the beneficiaries. Luscious yellow flowers have yellow stamens against a backdrop of orange flames, and all surrounded by a profusion of beautiful, deeply cut leaves. These flowers are huge but are born on sturdy stems late spring through early summer.
