The clean, spicy-sweet scent of these lemon-yellow pendent flowers is like fresh nutmeg. One of the largest species in the genus Primrose, it grows over 2 feet tall and gratifyingly continues to bloom late into the summer, June – August, surrounded by lush leaves. Found by the intrepid plant explorer, Frank Kingdon-Ward in the higher elevation boggy wilds of Northern Burma near the Tsangpo River.
