Very fragrant 3 – 4-inch wide semi-double violet-pink flowers bloom June-September; neat, disease-free foliage, deer-resistant. Large, ornamental orange-red fruit follow the bloom. Just because it's tough doesn't mean it's not sensually gratifying, though. And it's really nice to have a rose that's so independent. Dense, heavily wrinkled foliage turns orange in fall. Very good as a floriferous hedge.
