More info about our plant sizes.
With evergreen, or shall we say evergray, extremely aromatic, spatulate, silver-gray foliage, this tough plant has large, blue-violet and red-violet flowers all summer and a larger bloom than most sages. It's a perfect xeriscape plant and is deer-resistant if not deer proof. It looks terrific in winter, even here in Western Oregon, and still looks great after being trounced by wind, rain, snow, ice.... I like its tan, textured, woody "trunklet" and branches. Woody perennial or shrub, 2–3' T & W, and mounding. Sharply draining soil is imperative and spare it from the irrigation!Minimum temperature: -20° F
