Handsome dark green elliptical leaves form the backdrop for pure white Camellia-like flowers that bloom four to six weeks in June and July. Yellow stamens make these slightly fringed flowers sparkle. Fall leaf color is a mix of purple, pink, orange, and gold emerging from green to create a beguiling iridescence.
The maturing trunk is an exfoliating and mottled combination of brown, gray, creamy-yellow, and orange, the more visible if limbed up. Pyramidal growth habit, 25' tall by 12' wide.
