Sugar Plum' is a darling, compact, ever-bright-green, low mounding shrub 6" x 24". Bees will cover the pink bell flowers that dance over the tops of narrow leaves first in May – June with periodic encores into late summer. Very high on the cuteness scale, it would do well in a container, rockery, your alpine garden (time to start one if you don't have one), or in any well-drained garden spot. The intergeneric hybrid is between Phyllodoce (mountain heaths and heathers) and Kalmiopsis (from Oregon's southwest regions)! Plant in acidic soil and be careful not to overwater.
