Native to eastern and central North America, Dodecatheon meadia is a relatively easy plant to grow since it is tolerant of clay as well as woodland soil. This selection boasts of large, ornate pink flowers, tapering to a dark tip facing earthward. Blooming late spring to early summer, this plant prefers moist winters and dry summers.
