A fountain of leafiness from Jiangsu Province in China: medium to light green elliptic leaves on a multi-trunked large shrub/small tree, Synojackia becomes flocked with white bell-flowers reminiscent of the Japanese snowbell (same family—Styracaceae). Blooms cluster in pendent cymes in May and June to be followed in July and September by pendent woody fruit (xylo–carpa), interesting in their own right. 15–20' T & W
