Commanding center stage, the tri-lobed leaves of this slower-growing cultivar are speckled shrimp-pink when they emerge. Who needs flowers with leaf color like that! For summer they become a still-entertaining marbled white and green. A nearly impenetrable, rounded tree, dense with branches and wine-red twigs, it can be used as an effective screen or barrier even for winter. Or limb it up for a handsome shade tree. If it's ecstatic about its location it could eventually reach as high as 40 feet.
Mature size: 6-8 ft in 10 years; eventually much larger in good conditions.
