Twining milkweed vine from the Mediterranean has handsome shiny green large leaves and clusters of waxy, green and deep burgundy-purple flowers followed by pairs of long narrow seedpods. Pods open and then silk happens. Each little flower is like a small passionflower. A fast grower that reaches 20 to 30 feet in length, it is not self-supporting so expect to help it out a little. It is one easy plant, tolerant of many soil types: sandy, loam, clay! and tolerant of most light conditions: sun to shade (best in more sun).
