A glorious rhubarb relative that looks good enough to eat, but fight the urge as this stunner is toxic. The foliage begins to unfurl in spring with decadent shades of crimson. Upon maturity, the tops of large, spade-shaped leaves are coated in rich green with vibrant ruby veins and a maroon underbelly. Delicate 5 ft tall spires of blush pink blossoms emerge in late spring/early summer. Summer mulching is recommended to protect the roots from heat. Requires moist, rich soil to thrive.
