An upright selection that grows in a broad pyramid shape when young, will eventually develop a weeping appearance with age. Tenderly drooping spring new growth appears as limoncello-yellow then darkens to emerald-green over the summer on this striking cultivar. Expect about 4-6 inches of annual growth once the tree is established. The species can be found on the forested slopes and ridges of the Klamath-Siskiyou Mountain region in northwest California and adjacent southwest Oregon. Appreciates some summer water and an application of mulch.
