This evergreen perennial has deep-to-pale pink flowers in early- to mid-summer set in extra-velvety, white-webbed leaves. The leaves are rounded and lance-shaped, clasping around the upright stems. Pinch back the stems to encourage a busy form; you can also try cutting back the plants (to not shorter than 6 inches tall) after they flower to try for a second flush of blooms. From Northern Mexico, therefore quite drought tolerant once established; a most interesting plant.
