Native to Refugio Pass of Santa Barbara County, California, this manzanita is dense with finely-bristled twigs and overlapping, clasping leaves. Red margin on young foliage in early spring or late winter adds much-needed color. Clusters of white urn flowers tinted pink bloom late fall or early winter, giving way to shiny red berries.
