An excellent native selection hails from southwestern Oregon, near the Umpqua River, from which it is named. A prolific bloomer with clouds of soft blue blooms during late spring. This fast-growing, incredibly drought-tolerant Ceanothus can be tree or shrub-like depending on pruning and conditions. It will enjoy full sun to partial shade and tolerates clay soils well.
