Honestly, the flowers are not blue at all, but they ARE still lovely. This ornamental, non-spiny, thistle will grace your borders in mid-spring through early summer with nectar-rich, deep, fuchsia-red bloom-puffs on tall upright stems. Large, deeply-lobed, grey-green leaves arch upward to form a mounding basal rosette.
