In early spring through summer, scads of bright blue flowers mingle with aromatic dark green, needle-like leaves on erect spires. Very dependable: tolerant of poor soil, and unscathed by single-digit temperatures here in Western Oregon. Makes a striking hedge; also a bee magnet!

Mature size: 4–5 feet T x 2–3 feet W in 5 years.
