A beautiful golden plume of flowers blooms from late summer into fall amongst a backdrop of upright rich green foliage. This clump-forming species does not spread aggressively by rhizomes as some Goldenrods. An important late-season food source for pollinating insects, including Monarch butterflies. The seedheads provide a source of food for overwintering birds. Appreciates a well-drained sunny location but isn't fussy about soil type. Can withstand periods of drought once established.
