'Summer Sunshine' Germander glows with yellow leaves in spring which then deepen to chartreuse green in summer. Deep pink flowers bloom late spring through mid-summer along the stems between its shiny, tiny, oak-shaped leaves. (Chamaedrys means "ground oak" in reference to the leaf shape and ground cover nature.)
Wall Germander is an extremely useful and attractive evergreen, woody-based shrublet. Use this good-looker for borders, to cover the unsightly legs of other plants like roses (such a Victorian), as the evergreen base in an arrangement for a large container, or as the small hedge in an old world knot garden.
Happiest with regular moisture and full sun, but they can tolerate a bit of shade and, once established, some drought.
Mature size: 6-8 inches tall & 12 inches wide, and possibly expanding; easy to edge & prune to keep dense and smaller if desired.
