Iris-like leaves form dense evergreen clumps. Fuzzy, dark red stems branch above the foliage with elegant burgundy finger-like buds. In mid-summer, these open to reveal tiny white flowers in the shape of kangaroo paws creating a striking contrast to the red. 'Regal Velvet' is an excellent disease-resistant variety and is drought tolerant once established.
