Abundant frothy sprays of chartreuse flowers in May are a perfect base for arrangements or the perfect matrix for a shade or part shade garden. Rounded and mounded leaves are covered with fine silver hairs making diamonds of rainwater. Some self-sowing but then you can have green and yellow ground pillows for a ground cover. 16" tall and wide; a native of the Carpathian Mountains.

Medieval alchemists (hence "Alchemilla") believed that the water droplets collected from the leaves of this plant to be the purest water and used it in their attempts to create gold from base metal. You can still try. Fill your garden with Alchemilla mollis and take it from there.
