Clusters of the pinkest urn-shaped flowers bloom in late winter against gray-green oval leaves. An Oregon native, very cold-tolerant, drought-tolerant, deer-resistant, evergreen, beautiful...what more could one want? Oh, burgundy-red trunk and branches, little to no winter spotting, compact rounded shape — one excellent plant!

Arctostaphylos standfordiana 'Fred Oehler' and Arctostaphylos patula 'Siskiyou Pink' are two of our most requested manzanitas due to their shared characteristics of plentiful vibrant pink blooms and deep rich warm bark. The main differences (other than that they are genetically separate species) are that 'Fred Oehler' has denser, smaller, sharper, green leaves and a more winding branch structure, while 'Siskiyou Pink' has broader, more oval, olive-toned foliage with a more vertical and open branching structure. 'Fred Oehler' is generally thought to be a fair amount smaller than 'Siskiyou Pink' but both our specimens are over 10 years old and are of a comparable size.

Mature size: 8 ft T x W in about 12 years.
