A weeping dwarf with deeply dissected leaves, introduced by Thomas and Nancy Ashe after they saw a witch's broom on the commonly found cultivar 'Crimson Queen'. Differs from its parent by being more compact. A delicate fringe of striking red, occasionally highlighted with green/gold veins, decorates this small and horizontal dissectum form of Japanese maple.
