This easy-to-grow Asian aroid is a tuberous herbaceous perennial native to forests and sheltered meadows. Tripartita refers to the three-part leaves, similar to their horticultural cousins, Jack-in-the-pulpit foliage. The unusual flowers resemble a pale green calla lily with an up to ten inch long whip-like spadix, which persists May - July. Pollinated female flowers develop showy green berries which ripen in fall. Expect some seedlings when happily situated in moist, humus-rich soil.
