An often deciduous shrub (fall color can be orange-red to burgundy), 'Mohawk' can at times be evergreen 0º F and above. Deep pink-red buds become large fragrant umbels of small white florets, pink on the reverse, blooming in April. Butterflies will be very pleased! The shrub is 8-10' T & W, densely branched, with 4" long glossy dark green leaves, a perfect foil for the white flowers whose spicy fragrance is ambrosia.Minimum temperature: -20° F
