Nodding pink flowers in May to July transition to fluffy, puffy, feathery seed heads that are fun and ornamental. The leaves on this 1' tall perennial are like large feathers ascending from the base. It really wants well-drained soil or will die out with winter wetness. Pervasive North American native.
