To get an idea of the conditions this plant likes, imagine it scampering about in the understory of woodlands in Chile...moist, rich soil in deep or dappled shade. Its bright orange tubular flowers will make you think you've gone on vacation! Though it wants to spread when planted in the ground, it can also be satisfied in a pot.
