Deep cerulean blossoms form dramatic umbels rising 2-3 feet on striking dark purple to black stems in the heat of summertime. Sun enhances stem color with dramatic effect. Agapanthus can be great in containers as constricting the roots can improve blooming. Tolerates coastal climates well and is beloved by pollinators such as hummingbirds and butterflies.
