A subalpine plant native to Colorado, 'Chipeta' is a dense low form, with dark green small ovate leaves. Pink and white, urn-shaped flowers in spring are followed by carmine-red berries. A handsome evergreen plant well used as a specimen in a container, massed as a ground cover for erosion control. Xeric.
