These seed-grown Baptisia have been collected from our best plants in the garden. Spring new growth looks like a clump of emerging asparagus opening into rounded, blue-green leaves and loose spikes comprised of "pea" flowers in many shades of purples, blues, whites, and cream-yellows...the photos show some examples of POSSIBLE bloom colors. The blooms are followed by black seed pods considered by many to be worthy in and of themselves. These plants are tough and beautiful, and attractive to butterflies.
