Robust 8" dissected leaves have pink veins and are crablike in shape, or like a very large bird's foot (as the name might suggest). Pretty white flowers are secreted amongst the leaves July – September. From around 5,000' elevation in the Southwest Chinese provinces, it is much hardier than one would guess, but it would still love a nice blanket of mulch for our Oregon winters since its native latitude is ca. 30 deg. N. Moist, but well-drained rich soils are ideal, not to say that it insists. 1-2' T, W.

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
