Lily-scented white summer flowers perfume warm evenings on this deciduous shrub/tree; followed by wonderfully unusual, bright pink, puffy, star-shaped fruit with a metallic bright blue bead in the center! This plant breaks dormancy very late in spring so don't worry that it's met its demise; it will come around just when you start to give up on it and delight you no end.  Safe for livestock consumption. Beloved by hummingbirds, butterflies, honeybees, and other pollinators. Brush the leaves & smell peanut butter!

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
