.5 qt ~ Ships July - January 16 available

Quantity

Brilliant, violet-purple tubular flowers shower mounds of bluish, ferny foliage. A subtle and very pretty compliment to the spring woodland garden.

C. solida (bulbous forms) must ship before foliage develops.  Choose a shipping date between July 1 and February 1. This means the plant CANNOT ship in February, March, April, May, or June. The foliage of this plant is too delicate to survive shipping while actively growing. If a shipping date is chosen outside the shipping window the cost will be deducted from your invoice.

NOTE: These are SUMMER DORMANT plants; they dry up and go "to sleep" after they bloom in spring. Other examples of summer dormant plants are Tulips and Daffodils. Do not be alarmed when they disappear with the onset of warm weather days--given proper conditions, they will be back the next spring, bigger and better than before.

Mature size: 6 inches T & 6-12 inches W

Minimum temperature: -20º F

Carefully packed for each plant

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.

Choose your Monday ship date

At checkout, choose from the available Monday ship dates. We ship with UPS from Monmouth, Oregon, and you will receive an email with tracking information when your shipment is prepared or enters the UPS system.

Arrival times vary by destination and weather, so we cannot guarantee a specific delivery date or time.

Packed by hand, plant by plant
