If you're looking for something strange and intriguing, this is it! Its very long flower spike is said to resemble the flared hood of a cobra, but the leaves are really the more snake-like part. They are upright, long, smooth, dark green hollow tubes that terminate in a point a few feet tall. Each tube-leaf is ca. 1/2 – 1 inch in diameter. From the Drakensberg foothills of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where summer temperatures are cool. Clumping.
