Paired, dramatically marbled basal leaves of black-green and light green undergird tall stems of rose-purple nodding flowers with recurved petals — exquisite. They make their appearance in mid-spring when they'd like moisture, but by summer, dry soil is the order of the day. They are not particular about soil type as long as it drains reasonably well. Seed grown.
Erythronium are available at the nursery only. The delicate nature of its root system makes shipping a risky venture.
