Warm yellow cups on 6-inch stems are streaked with copper-orange inside and out. Self-sowing they'll form a colony of optimistic blooms, August to September. Generally, they'll respond to the season's first rain showers, bursting into bloom to brighten the first cloudy days. Native to the Gulf of Mexico in various populations on into South America.

Minimum temperature: 0° F
