Bright green serrated leaves up to 4" long emerge quite early in spring. Large, sunny-yellow, 5-petaled flowers soon follow and are the largest flowers of any Kerria cultivar. In winter, bright yellow-green stems are highly ornamental; show them off next to or in front of something purple or dark. (This will get you thinking about your winter garden.) Dense, twiggy, and upright deciduous form. Flower color is best in partial or even full shade, so take advantage and make a bright spot.
