Thistle-like purple flowers in upright, loose bunches at the top of tall stems in late summer to early fall. The frilly flowers are large and captivating. I doubt that any of your neighbors will have this in their garden and, if they do, my hat off to them for their keen selection of plants! Tolerates a wide range of soils from dry to moist; taller in moist soils so might need staking.

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
