This herbaceous peony, found in forested areas of Siberia, China, and Japan, has very early single blossoms that can range from vibrant rose-purple to white in color and are mildly fragrant. The grey-green leaves are divided into wide oval-elliptic leaflets — unusual. Provide protection from hot afternoon sun.
Our current group of plants were seeded in 2020 from a plant with deep, rose-purple blooms.
