Eventually becoming a tall tree and, with age, rounding out a bit (like many of us), this beautiful and intriguing oak appears silvery as the olive-green surface of its narrow, leathery, lance-shaped leaves visually blends with their white indumentum. From the mountainous SW, it is drought-tolerant and would look terrific with manzanita and other chaparral plantings.
